WHO THIS CANDLE IMPACTS

CANDLE POURED BY MUNA

Muna and her mother Nadja work side-by-side in their kitchen at home pouring candles to help pay their monthly rent and provide for their family of six. The shock of starting over in a new country, culture, and language has not diminished their gratitude. They were eager to work and provide for their family. When Muna, mother to 4-year-old Ameer, isn't pouring candles she is working long hours as a stocker at a nearby store. Her dream is to one day be reunited with her husband who was separated during the refugee resettlement process.

VESSEL MADE BY NOAH'S ARK

After years of witnessing artisans struggling in India, Samuel Masih established Noah’s Ark International Exports in 1986 in an effort to raise the artisans out of poverty and preserve their livelihoods. Noah’s Ark has supported artisans and their families with fair wages, long-term business investment, and health and education initiatives for more than thirty years.

PACKAGING DONE BY UNDER OVER

Most of the men working at Under Over Fellowship have similar stories to Mitchell's. He was in and out of jail since he was a teenager. During his last time in jail, he received Jesus into his heart. Due to Covid-19, he was granted early release. Mitchell didn't want to go back to his old ways, so he asked about a Christian-based rehabilitation program and learned about Under Over Fellowship, and asked to join the program where he has been for more than a month. One of the first realizations he has had while in the program is that his purpose is "to serve God." His leaders there pray that this new knowledge remains fresh in his mind and heart for the rest of his life.
