WHO THIS CANDLE IMPACTS

CANDLE POURED BY MUNA

Muna and her mother Nadja work side-by-side in their kitchen at home pouring candles to help pay their monthly rent and provide for their family of six. The shock of starting over in a new country, culture, and language has not diminished their gratitude. They were eager to work and provide for their family. When Muna, mother to 4-year-old Ameer, isn't pouring candles she is working long hours as a stocker at a nearby store. Her dream is to one day be reunited with her husband who was separated during the refugee resettlement process.

PROCEEDS GO TOWARDS SUPPORTING RESCUED TEEN MOMS IN KENYA

Founded in 2010, Mercy House Global started with a dream to rescue pregnant teen moms out of desperate situations in Nairobi, Kenya.

Today, Mercy House Global fully funds three maternity homes called Rehema House in Kenya. Rehema is the Swahili word for mercy.

Rehema House is an indigenous work, founded and led by local Kenyans, Maureen and Oliver Kaderi. It is a registered foundation in the country and currently owns two residences in an undisclosed location. It is funded by Fair Trade product sales, Fair Trade Friday subscription clubs, and generous families who believe in the mission of Mercy House Global.
