Stack Clay Earrings | Olive Green

Sancha is a dear friend of Mercy House Global. Originally from the war-torn country of Bhutan, her family was sent to a refugee camp in Nepal about 20 years ago. In 2012, Sancha and her family were granted placement in Houston, Texas. Sancha recently had lunch with our staff and shared her testimonyfrom living in a war-torn country, to being placed in a refugee camp with limited access to food and never being allowed to leave the compound or get a job, to finally starting a new life with her family in Houston. Sancha met our founder at her apartment complex a couple of years ago, and the rest is history!

We knew we were called to partner with Sancha and her family, to come alongside them and other local refugees to provide steady, dignified jobs while they transition into their new lives in America. Sancha is even currently enrolled in classes to become a US citizen! She is blessed and grateful to be a part of the Mercy House Global artisan family.

These earrings are made from olive green polymer clay that Sancha rolls out and molds into beautiful shapes. These delicate shapes are then baked to harden and attached to stud earring posts made of gold-plated brass.

The creation of these earrings means an income for Sancha that she is able to use to provide food and housing for herself as well as attend English classes.
