Partnering with young entrepreneurs, beekeepers and farmers in Zambia, Africa, Zambeezi crafts organic, fair trade body care products that regenerate customers, communities and ecosystems. Connecting the customers of North America to the farmers and beekeepers of Zambia, they provide skin-nourishing products customers love and which regenerate Zambian communities and ecosystems.

African farmers often receive only a pittance for their hard work, even if their final product fetches a high price in stores in developed countries. One of the company’s goals is to reduce this gap, so that the workers who make our ingredients and products receive a fair and living wage for their work – a wage that better reflects the actual value of their inputs and not simply the power structures of the global economy. 

When they began their partnership with the North-Western Beekeepers Association, $75 was the average annual household income. Through their partnerships with Zambeezi and other organizations, they can joyfully share that the 1,196 beekeepers in this co-op have reported being able to quadruple their incomes since this project started.
