ABOUT THE ARTISAN

Each bracelet was woven by a female artisan in Jaipur, India. Most of the women have not had previous employment. Many are young women in their early twenties preparing for their marriage and trying to help their families pay for their wedding and dowries. Some are mothers of young ones who are trying to contribute to the needs of the home and family through their skill set.
